

WILLIE FRANCES YOUNG, 82 of Oceanside passed away on May 9, 2014. She was born in Yazoo County, Mississippi on September 6, 1931 and attended Yazoo City Training School. She moved to California in 1959 and was later joined by her daughters in 1964.
Ms. Willie Frances Young who was affectionately known as “Granny” had a career in the service industry as an Environmental Worker for St. Paul Manor and Hotel Industry.
Many things can be said about Willie. She was best known by friends and family as compassionate, friendly and eager to help any one she could. She was a gentle soul, naturally saw the best in people and had a passion for serving others.
Willie was held in high regard by all who had the pleasure to know her. Her energy and warmth was demonstrated as a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a truly beautiful person.
Willie Frances Young is preceded in death by mother Lucille Marie Johnson, father Alf Young, brothers Preston Tyler and Robert Lee Tyler and grandson Garrett E. Crayton.
She is survived by her daughters, Josephine Crayton and Diane Wadlington, son-in-laws Clarence Crayton Jr. and Reginald Wadlington; grandchildren Letrice (Terron) Sumpter, Cherice Young, Christopher (Sommer)Crayton, Fanisha Boyd, Tray Crayton, Nichelle (Kenneth) Mazo, and Tory Wadlington; 23 great-grandchildren and a brother Harrison Tyler Jr, other relatives and a host of friends.
Services will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 1:00 p. m. at the Centerpoint Church, 24470 Washington Avenue, Murrieta, CA 92562.
Arrangements are under the direction of Eternal Hills Memorial Park, Mortuary, and Crematory, Oceanside, California.
