Alma Murray

A Funeral Mass for Alma T. Murray, age 74 of Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (Oct 13, 2015) at 11:00am at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will follow the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ogdensburg.

There will be no public calling hours. Ms. Murray passed away on Sunday (Oct 11, 2015) at the St. Joseph’s Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

Surviving is her sister Mary Walker of Ogdensburg; a nephew Timothy Walker & his wife Joy; a great-nephew Joseph Walker along with many friends.

Alma was predeceased by her parents; a brother Thomas McCormick and a brother in-law Joseph Walker.

She was born on October 14, 1940 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of William & Elizabeth (Bradish) Murray McCormick. She attended local schools, and stayed at home to assist her mother after her father died at a young age. In 1977 when her mother died, she then went to live with her sister Mary.

Despite being learning disabled, Alma found happiness by pleasing those around her. She attended daily mass at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home.
