Anna M. Ripa

A graveside service for Anna M. Ripa age 94 of Ithaca and formerly of Ogdensburg will be held at 1:00pm on Monday (May 23, 2016) at St. Mary’s Cemetery with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. There will be no public calling hours. Mrs. Ripa passed away at the Groton Community Heathcare on Friday (May 20th).

Surviving are her four sons Raymond (Sandra) Ripa of Florida, Jimmy Ripa of Florida, Michael (Donna) Ripa of Ogdensburg and Robert (Beth) Ripa of Ithaca; a brother Alexander (Kathy) Arduine of Ogdensburg; a sister Theresa Arduine of Ogdensburg; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren nieces, nephews & cousins.

Her husband Joseph Ripa; three brothers Charles, Frank & Joseph Arduine and six sisters Elizabeth Burns, Catherine Dalusio, Ellen Irvin, Irene Hall, Imogene Schryver and Mabel Arduine predeceased her.

Anna was born on October 24, 1921 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late Sante & Mary (Petrelli) Arduine. She attended local schools and later married Joseph Ripa. She was a stay at home Mom while raising her family, and also assisted her husband on the family farm for many years. Following retirement, she worked for a brief time at Egg Specialties as a laborer.
