

Jason A. Spriggs, age 41 of Ogdensburg died Thursday (Oct 12, 2017) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday Oct 25, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor David Hart officiating. Calling hours will also be held on Wednesday from 1:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Surviving are his mother Kimberly (Douglas) Kerr of Ogdensburg; father Leo Spriggs of Texas; sisters Jennifer Kerr & her companion JP Reynolds and Sara Kerr & her companion Bill Nelson both of Ogdensburg; nieces & nephews Hannah Washburn, Grant Carter, Jack Nelson & William Nelson; maternal grandparents Lila & Everett Dibble of Ogdensburg; maternal aunts Marlene Clark, Sally Hughes & her companion Don Kerr and Linda Terrance all of Ogdensburg; maternal uncles Everett (Debra) Dibble of New Hampshire, Kevin Dibble and his companion Cindy Richards of Gouverneur, George LaBaff & his companion Kelly Bray of Ogdensburg; paternal grandparents Janet Thompson of Dallas, TX and Leo Spriggs Sr. of Massena; paternal aunts Diane (Scott) Alexander of Ogdensburg and Diana Davis of Hammond.
His grandmother Gladys Sawatis; step-grandparents Mark & Pearl Kerr and two uncles Earl Clark & Andrew Dibble predeceased him.
Jason was born on November 19, 1975 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of Leo Spriggs and Kimberly (Dibble) Kerr. He attended Ogdensburg Free Academy for his education and later received his GED. During his working years he was employed as a duck decoy artist in Michigan, Mitel in Ogdensburg, Miller’s Greenhouse in Lisbon and “The Place” bar/restaurant where he was head cook for ten years. He later relocated to Oneida, NY and then on to California where he stayed for several years. In March of 2017 Jason moved back home to be with family as his health declined.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, baking, hunting, listening to music, socializing creating wonderful artwork and spending time with his family.
