

A Memorial Mass for Judith (Mashaw) Wicks, age 73 of Washington Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday (Oct 17, 2015) at 2:30pm at Notre Dame Church with Rev. F. James Shurtleff officiating. Mrs. Wicks passed away on October 13, 2015 at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are three daughters Stephanie (Gunther) Farfan of Dallas, TX, Jamie Gaines of Ogdensburg, Stacey Wicks & her companion Scott Newsome of Dallas, TX; step-sons Edward (Kristine) Wicks of Syracuse & Terry (Rita) Wicks of Syracuse; a brother Randy (Terri Lynn) Mashaw of Ogdensburg; sisters Cindy (Willie) Moore , Diane (Wally) Boyer & Debbie Mashaw all of Ogdensburg; a sister-in-law Linda Mashaw of Ogdensburg; grandchildren Jordan, Jared and Jayce Gaines, Mya Ball; and great-grandson Gian; a very special aunt Lillian Kompf; along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Edward; an infant daughter Mary Elizabeth; three brothers Terry, Ronnie & Eddie Mashaw and a sister Lisa Powell & her brother in law Roosevelt Powell.
Judy was born on July 25, 1942 in Rochester NY, a daughter of the late Emery & Josephine (Sovie) Mashaw. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and continued her education at the Watertown Beauty School. She later married Edward T. Wicks on July 26, 1969 in Lisbon.
During her career, she owned and operated Shear Heaven Beauty Shop for 35+ years and also owned and operated The Bakers Shop for 4 years.
