Lillian I McCoy

Before moving to Williamsburg, Lillian had lived in Rumson, NJ for 61 years where she and her husband Ralph McCoy Jr had raised their five children. She lived life to the fullest and enjoying her family and her summer vacations spent at Black Lake, NY. She attended and was active in the Rumson Presbyterian Church when in NJ and the DePeyster Methodist Church when in NY. She had a passion for reading and for supporting war veterans through letters and care packages.

Lillian is survived by son Ralph (Suzanne) McCoy III; son Douglas McCoy; daughter Phyllis (Michael) Wells; son Scott (Faye) McCoy; son-in-law Dave Vander Weide; grandchildren Karen Vander Weide, Joyce Vander Weide, Christy McCoy, Katie McCoy, Dylan McCoy, Morgan McCoy; and sisters Virginia Iliffe and Barbara Rieck.

Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Ralph McCoy Jr.; daughter Nancy Vander Weide; parents William and Daisy Scholes; and sister Mildred Riddle.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on October 10, 2015 at the DePeyster Methodist Church in DePeyster NY with Margaret Hance officiating. Burial with committal prayers will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton, NY. Local arrangements are with the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
