

A Funeral Mass for Marion “Marney” R. Frisina, age 85 a resident of the United Helpers Nursing Home and formerly of Spring Street in Ogdensburg, will be held on Friday (Dec 10, 2010) at 12:00noon at St. Mary’s Cathedral with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will also be held on Friday from 9:00AM - 11:30AM at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Ms. Frisina died Tuesday (Dec 7, 2010) at the nursing home.
Surviving is her sister Rosalie C. Pike of Pottersville, NY and a brother James Frisina and his wife Anne of Ogdensburg along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
“Marney” was predeceased by five sisters Nancy J. Frisina, Anna M. Weyant, Fran C. Burton, Isabelle V. Frisina and Rita M. Frisina; five brothers Michael F. Frisina, Joseph R. Frisina, Arthur D. Frisina, Rev. Charles E. Frisina and Anthony “Tony” C. Frisina.
She was born on November 27, 1925 in Ogdensburg, NY a daughter of the late Anthony F. and Marion E. (Gallipeau) Frisina. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1944 and the Miss Effie Lou Wallace Business School in 1945. She began her employment with the Ogdensburg Trust Company in 1945 as a bookkeeper, and advanced her rank to head teller and supervisor over the course of her career. She saw the bank go through many changes from Norstar Bank to Fleet Norstar Bank and then Community Bank. She retired in 1987 after 42 years of dedicated service.
“Marney” enjoyed traveling, family gatherings, baking and crossword puzzles. Memorial contributions have been requested to the SPCA or a charity of ones choice.
