

A Funeral Mass for Mary “Jackie” LaBrake, age 87, of Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (March 3, 2026) at 2:00pm at St. Philip & James Church with Rev. Kevin O’Brien officiating. Entombment will follow at the Oswegatchie Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held also on Tuesday from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. LaBrake passed away on February 26, 2026 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Surviving are her children, Gregory (Laura) LaBrake of Waddington and Carol Baxter of Lisbon; her cherished grandchildren, Melanie Baxter, Brittiany (Scott) Gage, and Michael Burnett; and her treasured great-grandson, Bradley Gage, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who brought her much joy throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George B. LaBrake Jr., and her brother, Gary Harper.
Jackie was born on May 14, 1938 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Delbert and Mary (Martin) Harper. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1955 and was united in marriage to George B. LaBrake Jr. on October 4, 1958. Together they shared many devoted and loving years.
Jackie was employed at the United Helpers Lisbon IRA for over 23 years, where she worked as a cook and was known for her warm smile and caring heart. She was a faithful member of St. Philip & James Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time with the St. Lawrence Border Line Dancers. In her quieter moments, Jackie found happiness in knitting and tending to her beautiful flower gardens, always taking pride in creating warmth and beauty for those around her.
Above all, Jackie cherished her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, her steady strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
