Mary H. Jackson

Funeral services for Mary H. Jackson, age 78 of County Route 10, DePeyster, will be held Saturday (July 20, 2013) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Jones officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton.

Calling hours will be held Friday (July 19th) from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Jackson passed away at her home early Wednesday morning (July 17, 2013) surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Horace Jackson; her sons Dale Jackson & his wife Debbie of Gouverneur, Roger Jackson & his wife Kelly of DePeyster, Randy Jackson & his companion Dawn Powell of Heuvelton; a daughter Donna Renda & her companion Dick Wager of Gloversville, NY; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grand babies; a sister-in-law Marguerite Hall; an aunt Edna Wood along with many friends. An infant daughter Amy Jackson and a brother Arlie Hall predeceased her.

Mary was born on October 16, 1934 in Gouverneur, NY a daughter of the late Robert & Doris (Ells) Hall. She graduated from Gouverneur High School and married Horace Jackson on October 19, 1952 in North Gouverneur. Mary was a homemaker and assisted on the family farm for many years. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, The Grange and the United Methodist Women in DePeyster, and enjoyed baking, knitting, spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren grow.
