Patricia Ann (Duprey) Morley, age 88, passed away on April 11, 2026, in Ogdensburg, surrounded by all her family. Her passing came four years to the day after the loss of her beloved husband, Lawrence “Broc” Morley, with whom she shared a life of love and devotion.
She was born on April 19, 1937 in Ogdensburg the daughter of Eugene & Gertrude (Newtown) Duprey. She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and was later married to the love of her life Lawrence “Broc” Morley on November 10, 1956. Patsy was a lifelong resident of Ogdensburg and wintered in Daytona Beach FL, where she built a home centered on family, kindness, and quiet strength. She was the heart of our home and it was felt with everyone she knew. She was a devoted mother and will be deeply missed by her children: Lori and Pat Hackett and Larry and Amy Morley, of Ogdensburg, and Melissa Morley of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, friends and neighbors.
She was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren – Austie (Brandyn) Jerome, Allyse (Matt) Pierce, Jacob Hackett & partner Alayna Fournier, Chelsea Hackett and parter Jordy Miller, Broc Morley and partner Madison Wescott and Gabrielle Morley and partner Brandon Eggleston; seven great-grandchildren – Isla, Ari, and Jagger Jerome, Claxton, Nash and Della Pierce, and Everleigh Miller all of whom lovingly called her “Gigi.” Known by many names—Mom, Gram, Gigi, Aunt Patsy, Patricia, and “Perfect Patsy”—she held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. Her approach to motherhood, despite which generation, had an unwavering, unconditional love that embraced others with openness and compassion.
She was predeceased by her first child – Cheryl Ann Claxton and son in law Michael Claxton, her parents Eugene “Gene” and Gertrude Duprey and William “Bill” and Bernadette Morley.
Patsy also had a loving, devoted bond with her sisters Judy Lapine, Susan (Larry) Larose, and Kathy (Jerry) Richards especially on card and popcorn night where she was the party host with an abundance of laughter and memories. They were a formidable team always sharing life’s up and downs at her kitchen table and knew that no matter where life led them, they would always be there for one another.
Patsy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time with her Red Hat group, playing cards with family, tending to her flowers, baking desserts and cheering on football games with her daughter. She cherished peaceful evenings watching the sunsets on the river.
Patsy’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and the enduring bonds she created. Her warmth, strength, and spirit will be remembered always and missed beyond measure.
