Patricia was born on January 11, 1951 in Ogdensburg NY, a daughter of the late David & Mary (Smith) Hanna. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy, worked for the Ogdensburg Journal in the early 1970’s and later married Raymond Townley. Patricia worked for Nationwide Insurance in Syracuse during the mid 1970’s and then decided to stay at home and raise her two children. The marriage to Raymond ended in divorce in 1987. Over the next 20 years Patricia worked as a Sr. Customer Service Representative for GATX Logistics in Liverpool. She ended her working career at Syracuse Castings in 2008 and then moved back to Ogdensburg.
Patricia later found companionship with Douglas Russell of Syracuse. Doug introduced her to clowning and traveling. Patricia clowned at hundreds of birthday parties, conventions and other local events that stretched nearly two decades. She made thousands of children and adults laugh and smile. Patricia enjoyed traveling internationally on cruises, touring tropical islands and meeting new people from around the world. Her favorite hobbies were dancing and listening to music, but if she chose to do one thing that would be spending time with her family.
