Robert E. Pittman

Funeral services for Robert E. Pittman, age 67 of Lisbon will be held on Thursday (Dec 10, 2015) at 7:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dettmer officiating. Calling hours will be held also on Thursday from 4:00pm until the time of the service. Mr. Pittman passed away at his home on Monday (Dec 7, 2015) surrounded by family and friends.

Surviving are his children Raymond Pittman of MN; daughters Renee Daniels & her husband Alan, Carol Pittman and Beth Clements all of Roanoke Rapids NC, Elizabeth Pittman of MN; a sister Alice Boyke & her husband Andy of Roanoke Rapids NC; grandchildren Halie Pittman, Alex Pittman, Brooklyn Pittman, Sandra Drewry, Stephen Daniels & Stephanie Daniels; a special friend Shirley Todd along with many nieces, nephews & cousins.

Two brothers Raymond & Thomas Pittman along with his companion Gail Kerr predeceased him.

Robert was born on March 8, 1948 in Roanoke Rapids NC, a son of the late Walter R. & Mamie (South) Pittman. He attended Roanoke Rapids schools and later continue his education at the Curry Community College for two years.

During his career he worked construction for 30 + years and later joined the maintenance Department of the Boors Head Meat Packing Company in Virginia until 2010 when he retired. He was the treasurer of the Ogdensburg International Senior Citizens Club and member of the St. Lawrence County Senior Citizen Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crafts, traveling, computer games, crossword puzzles, listening to country music and spending time with family and friends.
