

Funeral services for Sheila A. Pratt, age 68 of 1058 Washington Street, Ogdensburg, will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Morgan officiating. Entombment will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.
Calling hours will also be held on Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. & Monday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m at the funeral home. Mrs. Pratt died Friday afternoon at her home surrounded by her family.
Surviving is her husband, Theodore B. Pratt Sr. of Ogdensburg; two daughters, Brenda Mereau & her husband Harold “Dude” of Ogdensburg & Terri Mitchell President & her husband Michael of St. Petersburg, FL, a son Bruce LaRock & his wife Cheryl of Clearwater, FL; six grandchildren Lianne Osgood, Nichole Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Cole LaRock, & Cody LaRock, & two great grandchildren, Trenton Lee Jones & Logan Mitchell. Three step daughters, Susan Forsythe & husband Robert of Canton, NY, Rose Wright & husband Robert of Castanzia, NY, Dianna Pratt of Weedsport, NY. Two step sons Theodore Pratt, Jr. of Fulton, NY & Robert Pratt of Castanzia, NY. Eleven step grandchildren & seven step great grandchildren, a nephew, David Sequin of Lake Placid, & a niece Michelle MacDonald & husband Steve of North Tonawanda, NY. Her best friend Sheila Wells. A sister Elizabeth Betty Seguin predeceased her.
Sheila was born on July 20, 1942 in Ogdensburg, NY, a daughter of Eugene L. & Izetta (King) Julien. She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1960. A previous marriage to Robert “Daniel” LaRock ended in divorce, she later married Theodore B. Pratt Sr. on January 17, 1987. She worked at J.J. Newberry’s & Wadham’s Hall in Ogdensburg , & then began her longtime career at Claxton Hepburn Hospital in the Materials Management Department from 1974 to 2007 when she retired. Sheila was a dedicated literacy volunteer & a St. Mary’s Cathedral Parishioner. She enjoyed traveling to Florida, cooking, gardening & most of all, spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid fisherman, loved animals, camping, spending time with family, & friends. Sheila was a loving giving person who enjoyed being good to others especially her children, grandchildren. Sheila was often known to reach out to others in poor health by clipping comics to cheer them up, bringing them their favorite comfort foods & simply stopping in to visit them & let them know they were in her thoughts.
Donations may be made in her memory in lieu of flowers to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
