Thomas H. Dawson

Funeral services for Thomas H. Dawson, age 77 of Lisbon will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday (June 12, 2024) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Missionary Ron Stiles officiating. Burial will follow at the Martin Cemetery in Lisbon.

Calling hours will be held also on Wednesday from 11:00am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Dawson passed away at his home on Friday (June 7, 2024) surrounded by his loving family.

Surviving is his wife Faye; two sons Thomas (Kelly) Dawson of Shortsville, NY, Andrew (Wendy) Dawson of Wolcott, NY, a daughter Debra (Jack) Pennington of Lisbon; seven grandchildren Sydney, Erica, Samantha, Jessica, Jennifer, Sallie-Faye and Catherine; 11 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins.

His sister Marguerite Willard predeceased him.

Tom was born on November 11, 1946 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Mark & Mary (Seguin) Dawson. He graduated from Lisbon Central and was later married to Faye Scott on December 10, 1966 at the United Presbyterian Church in Ogdensburg.

During his career he worked for Agway, Lucille Farms, Sentry Safe in Rochester and later operated Dawson’s Meat Cutting. He retired in 2005. Tom was involved with the Army Reserves and the men’s horseshoe league for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, going to the casino and trying his luck with instant lottery tickets.
