Wayne is lovingly remembered by his children, Penny Taylor and her companion Wyatt Carpenter of Lisbon, Cathi LeBarge and her companion Terilyn Diez of Schenectady, and Andrea (Luke) West of Rodman; his longtime companion of 29 years, Susan Ward of Lisbon; his brother Bruce (Martha) LeBarge of Ogdensburg; his cherished grandchildren Harry, Johnathan, and Branden Scott, and Haley and Alex West; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter Amy Harvey; his brother Marvin LeBarge; and his son-in-law Troy Taylor.
Born on May 10, 1952, in Ogdensburg, Wayne was the son of the late David and Audrey (Dunbar) LeBarge. He graduated from Lisbon Central School and later married Carolyn Pike. Though the couple later divorced, they shared many years and a family together.
Wayne dedicated much of his life to hard work and serving others. He began his career farming before joining Flack Tours in 1989. His love of travel inspired him and Susan to establish and operate S & W Tours & Charter for 15 years until their retirement in 2019.
A man who appreciated life’s simple pleasures, Wayne enjoyed caring for his yard, taking drives through the countryside, and spending treasured time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and football, especially the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants, and he enjoyed playing dart baseball. Wayne also proudly served his community as a devoted member of the Lisbon Volunteer Fire Department for 52 years.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lisbon Fire Department. Condolences and fond memories may be shared at Foxandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
