

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne and Paul McGrath, who entered their eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Their loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved them, yet their legacy of kindness, humor, faith, and devotion will remain a lasting comfort.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Lisbon Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Ray Seldon and Floyd McCallum concelebrating. Burial will follow at the White Church Cemetery in Lisbon. Visitation hours will be held Thursday from 2–4 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home.
They are survived by their children, Adam (Lauren) McGrath of Brasher Falls and Ashley (Cory) Dodgens of Easley, SC; and their beloved grandchildren, Stella and Benjamin McGrath, who brought immeasurable joy to their lives.
Yvonne is also survived by her siblings Channy (Susan) Planty of Rensselaer Falls and Dorotha (Gary) Jarrett of Stillwater, PA. Paul is survived by his siblings Bob (Susie) McGrath of Ogdensburg, James McGrath of Waddington, Jack (Jennifer) McGrath of Tennessee, Michael (Twana) McGrath of Houston, TX, Bill (Jackie) McGrath of Houston, TX, Tom McGrath of Austin, TX, Jerry (Jane) McGrath of Lisbon, and Susan Duffy of Waddington. Paul was predeceased by his twin brother, Peter McGrath, and by a special friend, Blair Roethel.

Yvonne was born March 16, 1959, in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Maynard and Flossie (Baldock) Planty. A graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton, she continued her studies at Kingswood University / Bethany Bible College in New Brunswick, Canada.
Throughout her career, Yvonne worked at Mitel, KeyBank, and provided residential cleaning for many area families—always approaching her work with care, reliability, and a genuine desire to help others.
A woman of deep faith and vibrant spirit, Yvonne filled her church with her beautiful voice and her community with her generosity. Adventurous at heart, she embraced life fully—skydiving, ziplining, line dancing, and traveling often with her son Adam and his family. Above all, she cherished time with her grandchildren and nieces & nephews. To know Yvonne was to know encouragement, kindness, and an unwavering Christian compassion that shaped every part of her life.

Paul was born November 17, 1955, in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Lloyd and Lauretta “Joan” (McNally) McGrath. He graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy and worked throughout the community at the St. Lawrence County Penny Saver, Collins Motors, Bob McGrath Construction, and Queen Air Technologies.
Paul will be remembered for his humor, his easy friendship, and his many passions—hunting, golfing, telling jokes, and the pride he took in earning his black belt in Taekwondo. He approached life with determination, loyalty, and a playful spirit.
