Andrew Jackson (Jack) Moore, brother, husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on February 22, 2023. He was born October 15, 1933, in Oklahoma City, OK. Married Georgiana Patterson and had a daughter, then married Avis Carol Hasenbeck and her 3 children in 1968.
He is survived by his daughter Annalee Kristen Miller, stepdaughter Ki Lynn Parker, Stepsons James Henry Hasenbeck, and Lee Jay Hasenbeck, sister Carole Jeanne Mobley, eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Proceeding him in death was his loving wife of 54 years Avis Carol Moore, father Andrew Jackson Moore, mother Mary Eloise Moore, sisters Mary Louise Fore, Margaret Carolyn Moore, Merilyn Beedle, and brother Robert Franklin Moore.
Jack graduated from Oklahoma City’s Central High School in 1951 with Red Shirt honors, graduated from Central State University with a degree in History, and received his Juris Doctorate in 1960 from the University of Oklahoma. He was drafted by the Army attending Officers Candidate School at Ft. Sill during the Korean War in 1953, honorably discharged in 1956 with the rank of Captain, and served in the Army Reserve from 1956 to 1968. Jack was an Attorney in OKC until moving to Woodward, OK in 1968 to serve as Assistant District Attorney for Woodward County. Jack went back into private practice and lived in Woodward until 1981. Goldsby, OK then became home when he purchased a private court reporting school which he ran with his wife Carol for over 15 years.
Jack lived life to the fullest, enjoyed his family and friends, and had a lifetime of experiences that many were able to partake in. He had a strong love and belief in our Lord Jesus Christ and especially enjoyed sharing that love with family and friends. Jack enjoyed writing and was quite the storyteller. He was loved by many and will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Memorial services will be held at Memorial Park in Oklahoma City on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00pm followed by a reception.
