Barbara Ann Armstrong

Barbara Ann Kitchen Armstrong passed away peacefully February 19, 2021 at the age of 95.

She was born March 20, 1925 in Oklahoma City, the seventh child of Earl W. Kitchen and Julia E. Morrell Kitchen.

Barbara lived her entire life in Oklahoma City attending Harding Jr. High and Classen High School. In 1948 she and Claude Armstrong were married and shared 43 loving years together.

She is survived by son Chris and wife Prue, daughter Claudea and Tommy Saba, grandson Ian C Armstrong and wife Bergin, great granddaughter, Zola Armstrong and step granddaughters Rachelle Bourque, Angie Smith and Gypsy Hedrick.

Barbara had a passion for bridge and her longtime close friends of the “Crazy 8” and “Pine Cone” bridge clubs, who considered bridge secondary to friendship and laughter.

Mary Ellen Replogel, Barbara’s lifelong friend noted her sense of humor and that they “had shared many years together, making trouble fore everyone else.” She was well known for her humor and it persisted through the last months of her life.

Barbara’s family is grateful for the care, kindness and love provided by Town Village.

A private inurnment will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery to be determined.
