

She was born on October 8, 1935 in Oklahoma City to her parents, Arvin Cecil “Bill” and Neva Gray. Barbara graduated from Central High School and later married the love of her life, Gilbert Forrest on September 2, 1954 in Oklahoma City.
Barbara was a talented and gifted woman who worked for John A. Brown Department Store and Sears as a fashion and commercial artist. Some of her hobbies included painting, crafting, drawing, and cooking. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden and caring of her plants and flowers.
Barbara was a dedicated wife to her husband Gilbert who was a pastor. Together they moved around to many states spreading the message. She assisted her husband in his ministry and was always up for any task the church needed. Barbara served the Lord by helping others.
Her most notable gift in this world was being a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of almost 69 years, Gilbert Forrest; parents; sister, Roberta Gray; and grandson, Caleb Joseph Forrest.
She is survived by her 4 sons, Jonathan (Cheryl) Forrest of Clovis, NM, Jim Forrest of Drumright, OK, Joe (Regan) Forrest of Edmond, OK, and Jason Forrest of Oklahoma City, OK.
Grandchildren, Shannon (Jared) Reeves of Portales, NM, Andrew (Tiffany) Forrest of Clovis, NM., Brandon (Amy) Forrest of Abilene, TX, Jamie (Kyle) Caldwell of Yukon, OK, Julie (Austin) McDonald of Lubbock, TX, Tiara Forrest of Norman, OK, Tanner Forrest of Park City, UT, Taylor Forrest of Edmond, OK, Sydney Spiva of Nashville, TN, Tristin (Zachary) Edgin, Edmond, OK and 14 Great Grandchildren.

Barbara’s family welcomes friends to a reception, Tuesday, March 19, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Memorial Park Historic Chapel, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
A viewing will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Mulhall Christian Church, 202 Bryant Ave, Mulhall, OK 73063.
A celebration service will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mulhall Christian Church, 202 Bryant Ave, Mulhall, OK 73063.
Serving as pallbearers are Brandon Forrest, Andrew Forrest, Jerrid Sanders, Drew Waltz, Jaden Waltz, and Lennox Reeves.
Barbara will be laid to rest following the service in Morris Heights Cemetery, Orlando, Oklahoma.
