Carmon Coleman Harris, Jr., passed away November 4, 2017. Known by his family and friends as Coleman, he was born in Oklahoma City, on January 23, 1943, to Carmon Coleman Harris and Veryl Pauline (Fox) Harris. He graduated from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City in 1961. In 1963, Coleman enlisted in the Oklahoma Air National Guard and served as a reserve member of the Oklahoma City unit until his retirement in 2003. In 1981, he was employed as a civilian (Civil Service) by his military unit until he retired in 2003.
Coleman is survived by his wife, Linda Jean (Calhoun) Harris of the home, who was his best friend since they married in 1970. He is also survived by their two sons; Jeff Harris and wife Kelly and Chris Harris and wife Nicole; and five grandchildren: Lauren, Ryan, Zachary, Hailey, and Matthew Harris all of the Oklahoma City area.
