Carolyn Ann Rubin

Carolyn Ann Rubin, 83, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025. She was born on March 23, 1941, in Decatur, Illinois, to Lorene Juanita (Carr) and James Michael O’Donaghue and spent her life cherishing her family, faith, and passions.

Carolyn married the love of her life, Ronald Rubin, on August 20, 1960 and raised their wonderful children- Lee, Michael, Mark, and Trent. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories before Ronald’s passing.

She had a deep love for life’s simple joys. She found happiness in watching the horses run and cheering on the OKC Thunder and her beloved OSU Cowboys. Her warmth and joy will forever be remembered by those who knew her.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Rubin as well as her parents, James and Lorene.

She leaves cherished memories with her children: Lee Houghland and husband Charles Houghland Jr., Michael Rubin and fiancé Tammy Seward, Mark Rubin and wife Amy, and Trent Rubin; grandchildren Ashley Fitzgerald and husband John, Robert Cory Lau and wife Treola, Aubry Champlin, Andrew Rubin, Jacob Rubin, Cressie Rubin, and Bailey Rubin, and great-grandchildren: Robert William Lau, Kylee Fitzgerald, and Mack Fitzgerald.

A celebration of her life will be held on March 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Historic Chapel.
