D. (Dorothy) Jeanne Alexander, age 90, passed away peacefully May 24th, 2020 at Concordia Lifecare Community, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, of complications of diabetes.

She was born on December 6th, 1929 and raised in Evansville, Indiana. She attended Business School there, after which she worked as a secretary for Mead Johnson Company until she met her husband and started her family.

She had a lifelong love for bridge, even playing in assisted living with other residents. She enjoyed playing doubles tennis with her friends at the Greens Country Club. She adored dining, dancing and socializing, and never knew a stranger. She appreciated a few outdoor activities like swimming and boating, but never camping! She loved animals, especially her dachshund, Heidi, which she had for 18 years.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George Alexander; her 2 daughters, Cheryl and husband Tom Bryant of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Janna Alexander and husband Jeff Gubala of McKinney, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren Merrin Bryant, Garrett Bryant, and Grayson Bryant, and her younger brother, John H. Marshall of Evansville, Indiana.

Her memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th at 11:00 am at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 13313 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. There will be a catered reception in the Cemetery Chapel across the street from the funeral home directly following the service.
