Elizabeth Neal

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cathleen (Neal) Niroo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; grandson, Xavier Kamran Lucas Niroo of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Ellen Cecilia Marullo of Fort Worth, Texas and nieces, Ellen Cecilia DeVijlder and Elizabeth Angelina Reyes of Fort Worth, Texas. She is preceded in death by mother, Ellen Cecilia Wright and father, Seymour Ernest J Cox.

Elizabeth was born on July 13, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She graduated from St. Scholastica High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 1963, and in 2000 graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Sociology. In 1977, she married Ronald Ray Neal and a year later gave birth to their only child, Elizabeth Cathleen Neal. During her lifetime, Elizabeth resided in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and New Mexico. Her daughter remembers her as a loving, courageous mother who always encouraged her to pursue her goals.

Elizabeth enjoyed jewelry making and Sogetsu Ikebana (Japanese flower arranging.) She was a spirited individual who loved her family and friends and for many years was dedicated to helping care for her grandson. She enjoyed reading, watching classic movies and loved animals.

A graveside service is scheduled for 1pm on November 8, 2015 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to celebrate Elizabeth’s life.
