With profound sorrow and unwavering faith, we announce the passing of Faramarz Ghavidel, age 79, who peacefully gained his angel wings on January 10, 2026. Born in Rasht, Iran, Faramarz later made Oklahoma his home, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and integrity.
Faramarz was a deeply devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and servant of God. For 46 beautiful years, he shared a loving and faithful marriage with his beloved wife, Shahin, whom he adored with his whole heart. Their life together was one of devotion, partnership, and unconditional love.
He was a proud and loving father to his daughters, Maral and Maryam, always ensuring they were cared for, protected, and surrounded by love. Everything he did was for his family, and the life he built for them was his greatest accomplishment.
Faramarz was a tender and devoted grandfather to Stevie Richmond, lovingly guiding him with wisdom, patience, and faith. Even in his weakest moments, he continued to teach, love, and pour into Stevie, leaving a legacy that will be carried for generations.
He was known for his kind and compassionate spirit, his honesty, and his tireless work ethic. A true fighter, Faramarz faced every challenge with courage and grace, never backing down—even in his hardest hours. He loved traveling with his family and challenging himself, believing growth came through perseverance and trust in God.
Faramarz lived simply and faithfully, teaching by example that a meaningful life is not measured by possessions, but by love, integrity, and service to God. He held firmly to his faith, trusting that one day he would be reunited with his Savior and experience eternal peace.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7
He is survived by his loving wife, Shahin; daughters Maral (fiancé, Tony) and Maryam (husband, Chad); cherished grandson Stevie Richmond; and siblings Fariborz Ghavidel, Farideh Ghavidel, Farhad Ghavidel, Fereshteh Ghavidel, Farahnaz Ghavidel, and Farid Ghavidel, along with many beloved family members and friends.
We were honored and privileged to care for Faramarz during his final chapter. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing he is now whole, healed, and resting in the arms of the Lord
