Frances Louise Smith was born April 14, 1924, in Oklahoma City, to parents John & Bettie (Liner) McKay and passed away, in Edmond, May 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Benjamin “Ben” Smith; and older brother, Leonard, who died at the age of 18 years.
Frances Louise worked for, and retired from, Tinker AFB, where she met and married the love of her life, Benjamin Smith. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Ben, and they traveled to Alaska on two separate occasions, to Mexico on another, with many, many trips of shorter duration.
Frances had several close friends, Millie Whybank, Shirley Hutchinson, and Mitylene Becker, surviving members of the Chappell Class at St. Luke’s UMC, and she had many new friends in St. Luke’s Triquetra Class. Louise will be missed, but not forgotten.
Her funeral service will be 3pm, Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Memorials can be made to the St. Luke’s UMC Foundation.
