Freddie Joe Hensley, age 77, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Freddie was born February 4, 1944 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to parents Cecil and Mazie Hensley. Freddie was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a Tulsa Westsider through and through. He graduated from Daniel Webster high school in 1962, and went on to gain his Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa. Freddie had a passion for golf and travel. He also loved classic Chevy cars, and restored many of them over his lifetime. He had a large personality that could not be overlooked. He was always joking and having fun. He will be missed by all those who knew him.
Freddie is survived by his daughter Melissa Hensley, his son Michael Hensley, Michael's wife, Julie Hensley; Grandchildren, Julien, Brooks, Isabella, and Baylee Hensley, and Evan and Reed Sussman; and one brother, Dan Hensley.
He was preceded in death by his son Richard Hensley; his brothers Arnold, Kenneth, and Lloyd Hensley; and his parents Cecil and Mazie Hensley.
A memorial service will occur Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
An interment will occur Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N. Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Friends and family are welcome.
