Grant Allen McHam

Grant grew up in Edmond, OK and attended Edmond Public Schools, graduating in 2017. During this time his family attended Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, and later moved to First Baptist Church Edmond. After graduation Grant worked in the food industry, and as a warehouseman. Prior to his passing he had been assisting an elderly, disabled woman on a daily basis. She said his care for her changed her life.

Grant loved sports, music, video games, and animals. He was a Cub Scout and played soccer, basketball. He also played basketball for Cimarron Middle School two years. Grant began his high school Drumline career in Edmond's Own Big Bad Bulldog Band playing in the pit, acquiring 3rd Base his Junior year, and 4th Base his Senior year. He loved marching band! His tender heart made him an exceptional pet owner and sitter. He was an avid OU football and basketball fan and enjoyed attending Thunder basketball games. He had an amazing memory for stats, a dry sense of humor, and quick wit that will be missed.

Grant is survived by his parents Brad McHam of Oklahoma City, OK, Jane Burton of Edmond, OK, loving sister and brother-in-law Laura and Coby Poole of Edmond, OK, maternal grandparents Ed and Sue Burton of Oklahoma City, OK, fraternal grandparents Jack McHam of Oklahoma City, OK, and Billie McHam of Brooksville, FL, uncle and aunt Jay and Tiffany Burton of Newalla, OK, uncle Kevin McHam of Atlanta, GA, aunt Tracy McHam of Marietta, GA, and loved cousins Caroline and David Jones of New Bern, NC, Emma McHam of Atlanta, GA, and Mitchell McHam of Marietta, GA.

A visitation for Grant will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway, Edmond, OK 73034. A graveside service to follow will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
