Mom was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and a family focused “lady” and all that it implies. Facing an empty nest, she launched an 18 year career as the Director of Childcare at Britton Methodist Church. In her diary she said “…she dearly loved her man (Stanley), Village Baptist Church, prime-time choir and all of her extended family”.
She was so pleased to report her surrender to Christ at age 17. His light was the light she so generously and continuously shared (RE: Matthew 5:16).
