

James Franklin Carpenter, 87, of Spencer, OK, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026. James Franklin Carpenter was born in Sentinel, OK on January 8, 1939. He spent his life as a loving partner and caring provider to his family. James fathered two children, Scott and Kambra Carpenter. He married his sweetheart from school Sarah, with whom he spent his life. James received an electrician license and created a successful family business that honored both his parents and his trade. James had a career in electricity and power for 80 years, beginning at age 7, working for his parents. The Carpenter family owned C&C Electric, before that known as Carpenter Electric. James Franklin Carpenter was a freemason in the Shriners of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK. He had a passion for freemasonry, fishing, and woodworking. James is preceded in death by his mother and father, Barbara and Edward Carpenter. James Franklin Carpenter is survived by his wife, Sarah J. Trent Carpenter, and both children. He is survived by his eldest child and only son, Scott Carpenter and wife Karen Carpenter; grandson Cash Carpenter; grandson Brandon Carpenter and wife Summer Carpenter, and great-grandchildren Willa Carpenter, Niklaus Carpenter, Harper, and many more. James is also survived by his second child and only daughter, Kambra Mareburger-Erskine and husband Randall Erskine; grandson Matthew Mareburger and wife Carmen Mareburger; granddaughter Marci Mareburger, and great-grandson Dominic Black. Funeral arrangements will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on the morning of Thursday, March 5th, 2026 at 11:00am. All who knew him are invited to celebrate the life and legacy of James Franklin Carpenter, so that his light may shine on eternally.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 N Kelley Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, US, on March 5, 2026.
