Janice Dee Burris, 69, of Piedmont, OK, passed away January 27, 2022. She was born in Warr Acres, OK January 10, 1953. Janice graduated from Putnam City Original High School. She was married to and preceded in death to Dale Allen Burris (passed May 23, 1999) on January 24, 1973.
Janice worked/had a career in insurance for Jerry Black State Farm for 27 years until retirement on December 31, 2021. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Doll Collectors of Oklahoma, and a citizen of the Muscogee Creek Nation.
She had a passion for collecting antique and fashion dolls as well as a deep love of gardening. She was a curator of fine art and antiques. She had a tender heart for all animals. Above all else, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her Children, Vanessa Cubbler, Heather Coleman, Titian Burris and Natasha Ballard. Her grandchildren, Blake Cates, Philippe Cates, Ashley Coleman, Kayla Stone, Maggie Coleman, Sophie Cubbler, Jordan Young, Gavin Young, Virginia Cubbler, Radley Burris, Finley Burris, Katerina Ballard, and her sister Linda Bellah.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 3:00pm, February 1, 2022 at Memorial Park Historical Chapel 13400 N. Kelley Ave. Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
