Joe Bugg

Our loving and entertaining friend, Joe M. Bugg, age 50, of Oklahoma City, left this world and entered eternity on Saturday, January 23, 2010 following an inspiring battle with cancer.Joe was born October 27, 1959 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City to Jerry and Suzanne Bugg. He attended Quail Creek Elementary, Cassidy and John Marshall High School before a brief engagement at the University of Oklahoma.On Valentine's Day in 1989, Joe married Hattie McIntire in Oklahoma City where they made their home and a wonderful life full of family and friends. Joe worked with his family for many years at National Car Rental then purchased and managed Thrifty and Dollar Car Rentals of Oklahoma City.Joe spent his youth worshipping at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and continued to maintain those ties. He was a long time member of Crossings Community Church and a current member and faithful supporter of Skyline Church in Downtown OKC. Joe loved travel and sports. He supported the OKC Thunder and the University of Oklahoma sports teams.Joe is survived by his cherished family, wife, Hattie; sons, Jarrod, Joseph, Jackson and Justus; daughter, Brittnie; parents, Suzanne and Jerry; sisters, Lisa Dahlgren and her husband Chuck, and Susan Faherty and her husband Colm; grandmother, Margret Herndon. He is further survived by a precious aunt, beloved uncle, numerous cousins, seven brother-in-law and their wives, a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and the best friends that one could imagine.Viewing will be from 3pm-9pm, Monday, January 25th at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service will be at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26th at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the college fund for Joe's children at NBC Bank, 13401 N.
