

Kenneth Alvin Skinner, Jr., of Edmond, was born Sept. 29, 1956, at Ft. Sill Army Base to Kenneth & Wanda Lou (Simpson) Skinner and passed away from a stroke, Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011. He was in the U.S. Air Force for four years, during the Vietnam Era. He was in law enforcement for 10 years and for the last 12 years was employed by the U.S. Postal Service as a forklift driver. He was a huge fan of OU Football all his life. He also loved animals and had many. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
Kenneth reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 22 years, Betty Jo (Barrett) Skinner (who was an organ donor), who passed in 2009, and his father, who passed in 2003.
He is survived by his mother; brother, Alton Skinner of Colorado; sister-in-law, Shelly Skinner of Colorado; sister, Juanita Laplante of OKC; nephews, Raymond Laplante of Texas and Erik Skinner of Colorado; nieces, Anna Wells & husband Ryder of Colorado and Hailey Laplante of OKC; great-nephew, Ranger Wells of Colorado; and many cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Funeral services will be 2pm, Thursday, Sept. 8, 2011, at Victory Church with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 8am to 8pm at the funeral home.
