Marie was born in Frankfurt, Germany and came to America with her parents Arthur and Natalie Kintner. After high school, she attended Central State College where she obtained a Bachelors’ Degree in Education in only 3 ½ years. This is where her love story began with Warren Cole. They met while engaging in the Baptist Student Union activities, growing both in their relationship together and with God. They married after graduation, then moved to California when Warren joined the Navy. After his service they returned to Oklahoma, where they found fellowship in Olivet Baptist Church, the place that they called home for more than 50 years. Marie dedicated over 25 years of service as the Nursery Director, and also taught Sunday School faithfully, was a cook at Falls Creek Youth Camp, served on multiple committees within the church, and was a major founder of Olivet’s Community Cart.
This beautiful soul leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and faith. Marie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother always creating a home filled with joy and warmth. She found joy in the simple things from cross-stitching, reading, teaching, and volunteering. Her passion was spending quality time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Donald Cole and wife, Diann; Becky Wilson and husband, Gareth; Brad Cole; and Sarah Sands and husband, Corey; grandchildren, Kyleigh Greene and husband, Greyson; Kameron, Bailey, Gavin, and Cole Wilson; Kaleb, Noah, Jaxon, and Taylor Cole. She also leaves behind two sisters: Norma Hubbell and husband, John; Linda Vinson; brother-in-law Howard Cole and wife, Sonja; sister-in-law Sandra Goodpasture and husband, David; many nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends from every season of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
