Meme, as she was lovingly known, moved to Oklahoma City and graduated from Harding High School. She married Melvin Samsel Jr, on October 16, 1981. Together, they enjoyed a life full of love and laughter.
Meme's love for family was immeasurable. She found great joy in family gatherings, especially during weekends where they would enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She loved her time at Lake Fort Cobb, which held a special place in her heart. Whether it was watching her great-grandchildren grow, baking birthday cakes for her grandkids, or sharing quiet moments with her furry babies—Sam and Boomer—Meme made the most of every moment.
A lover of crime shows, music, and dancing, she found joy in life's little pleasures and always knew how to bring a smile to those around her. Meme was an avid fan of OU football and took pride in cheering on her team. She loved attending events, whether they were family functions or something more spontaneous, always with her signature spark and enthusiasm.
Meme's legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She was the center of many lives, a shining example of love, laughter, and joy. Her passing leaves a void, but her memory will be cherished forever.
