

Lynn was born January 8, 1944, in El Centro, California and raised by her mother and father, Frank and Jean Harper. She graduated from Pecos High School and went on to study at Texas Christian University, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Lynn maintained lifelong friendships with several of her sorority sisters and enjoyed social gatherings with them through the years.
Lynn is survived by her two children and their spouses, Jennifer Russell Snodgrass and husband Brian Snodgrass of Edmond, Oklahoma, and John Russell and wife Emily Dauphin Russell of Evergreen, Colorado. She also leaves behind four adoring grandchildren, Hannah Russell, Hunter Burton, Hudson Burton, and Hollie Russell, all of Dallas, Texas. Lynn is also survived by her sister Sarah Williams and brother-in-law Bob Williams of Williamsburg, Virginia and her brother Dr. John Harper and sister-in-law, Laurie Harper of Dallas, Texas. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her.
Lynn lived a life full of compassion and joy. She dedicated many years to a rewarding career in the medical field, where her care and kindness touched many lives. Lynn's love for the simple pleasures of life was evident in her passions: gardening, sewing, cooking, and canning. Her culinary creations were often shared generously with those she loved. An avid crafter, Lynn enjoyed embroidery, quilting, and the beauty of fine jewelry. Her love for animals was also a significant part of her life, as she cared for numerous pets over the years.
The family requests that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society in Dallas, Texas in lieu of flowers. There will be a memorial/celebration of life 10:00 am Friday, September 27, 2024 at Highland Park United Methodist Church, Cox Chapel.
