

James Mitchell “Mitch” Holmes of Edmond, OK, passed away at home June 27, 2016, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Trina Holmes, children, Danielle (Pratt), Alex and Loren, and grandchild, Lucille (Pratt), parents, Joseph and Theressa Holmes, and brothers, Christopher and Gregory.
Mitch was born in Redlands, CA in 1968. He was active in sports and his Baptist church growing up in Durant, OK. He attended and graduated both Murray State College, where he met Trina, and William Penn University. He was an officer with the Norman Police Department for 4 years before being accepted into the FBI. During his FBI career, he was a firearms instructor, child abduction coordinator, and relief supervisor. He worked drugs, violent crimes, counterterrorism, and surveillance. Although he took great pride being a special agent, his passion was his family and he found great joy in sports, especially baseball.
Visitation will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Edmond, OK on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 2pm-8pm, his wife and children will be there from 6pm-7pm. Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 13313 N. Kelly Ave., Edmond, OK, on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 am with Keith Cole officiating. Flowers may sent or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
