Naomi June Kerce Ruiz “Nomi” was born June 7, 1925 in Oklahoma City to Joseph “Jake” and Bessie Kerce and died at her home in Oklahoma City March 26, 2012. We rejoice knowing that she has passed the barrier of time as we know it and is forever at home with the Savior she faithfully served. On June 19, 1973 Nomi married Joe Ruiz who survives her. Together for almost 39 years they experienced the changing scenes of life in joyous companionship which the Lord had given to them. They served the Lord for many years through their Christian school and ministry in Carmargo, Mexico. Nomi was also affectionately known as “Nana” to her grandchildren. She was famous for her Mystery Pie, Candy Cane Christmas Cookies and sweet meatloaf. Nana graciously touched many lives and will be greatly missed and loved always. Surviving with her husband Joe are sons Greg Price and Kevin Price. Grandsons, Damon Ruiz, Matthew Price, Justin Price, Kris Price, Kirby Price, David Price and James Price. Nomi is also survived by great grandchildren Alex Ruiz, Jillian Ruiz, Avarey Price, Madelyn Price and Tucker Price. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mercy Hospice, especially Becky, for all their support and dedication as well as LaVonne Bonds, Nomi’s caregiver. Her compassion, hard work, sharing of Christ’s love with Nomi, and joyous spirit kept Nomi going as well as the family. We will be forever grateful to “Miss LaVonne”.
