Patricia “Pat” Schallenberg, age 80, of Edmond Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born on November 12, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Essie and Douglas Liles.
Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, and friend. She was married to Van Schallenberg for the last 24 years. Pat loved her family and family celebrations, she loved ordering personalized ornaments every Christmas for all members of the family. In her younger years, she loved sewing, working as a secretary, tutoring children, and playing the piano at church. In the last few years, she enjoyed giving Bible study lessons and serving the families who reached out to the HOPE Pregnancy Center. She even had a desire to learn Spanish.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; Older brother, Richard Liles; And her former husband, Ron Nicholson.
She is survived by her husband, Van Schallenberg; Brother, Jerry Liles and wife Sally; Sister, Aliene Wherry; Children, Joyce Wolf and husband David, Karen Wilson and husband Steven, Dean Nicholson and wife Kirsten, Stacy Buzan and husband Mike, Jill Armstrong and husband Jeremy, and Carrie Lower and husband Wra Ledford. Patricia is leaving behind a host of friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who loved her very much.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 5th, 2025 at Gateway Community Church located at 23887 N. MacArthur Boulevard in Edmond, OK.
