

Roland Robert Hoffman passed away after a short illness on January 5, 2011, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born August 5, 1917, in Wilsonville, OR, to the Rev. Jason and Emma Reppert Hoffman. He graduated from high school in West Concord, MN, 1935, and joined the US Navy in September of 1937. He served in both World War II and the Korean conflict. After more than twenty years of decorated service, he retired and moved to Oklahoma where he resided until his death.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, 32 Degree Scottish Rite, and Order of the Eastern Star.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly sixty years, Freda, his parents, his sister, Virginia Lahr, and his brother, Donald Hoffman. He is survived by two brothers, Earl Hoffman of Grants Pass, OR, and Richard Hoffman of Roseburg, OR, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
He requested this be part of his obituary:
