Steven Curtis Nix

Steve grew up in southern Oklahoma and graduated from Comanche High School. He married his high school sweetheart Patricia Nix, before beginning a long and dedicated career at Fred Jones Manufacturing Company. Following her death and his retirement from Fred Jones, Steve met Barbara and created a new chapter together as the owners of Courtyard European Antiques. They were married for over 20 years and proudly operated their business, becoming active members of the Edmond Chamber of Commerce and well-known figures in the local antiques community.

Steve had a deep passion for golf and a lifelong appreciation for European antiques. His love for Christ enriched his life and the lives of those around him. He was an athlete growing up and continued his passion for sports by coaching his kids on their little league teams. Steve will be remembered for being dedicated to family, his hard work ethic, and his love for the Lord. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert Nix and Wanda Reardon. His first wife Patricia Nix. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Barbara E. Nix; his children Kevin Nix (Elizabeth Nix), Keri Strunk (fiancé Bryan Rogers), David Kamphaus (Lorri Kamphaus), Craig Kamphaus, and Steve’s sister, Donna Babb. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren—Braden Nix (Savannah), Ryan Nix, Guy F Strunk, Grace Nix, Adelaide Strunk, Austin Kamphaus (Diamond), Dakota Kamphaus, Christian Kamphaus, Bryce Channing-Kamphaus, and two great-grandchildren, Camille Nix and Levi Nix.

A Gathering of Friends & Family will be held before the service from 9:00 am to 9:45 am Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Funeral Service for Steve Nix will begin at 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, located on 13313 N Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City, OK.
