

Betty was born on a family farm outside of Sabina, Ohio on March 25, 1938 to the late Floyd and Hester Thompson. She was born in to what would be a large farm family of 11 children! Upon graduation from Simon Kenton High School in 1956 she married her high school sweetheart, Frank Huff on June 6, 1956 and became a homemaker. She and Frank would share 37 years of marriage and building a family until his death in 1993. Her home was known as a place of comfort where guests were made to feel comfortable. Family and friends would drop in often and she always made time for them.
She would go on to work in healthcare and banking in her life time. Betty’s passion was her family. She was affectionately known as Grandma, Nan Nan, and GG (for great grandmother). She will be remembered as being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was gentle, honest, sweet and kind.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband Frank Huff; son, Alan Huff; parents, Floyd & Hester Thompson; brothers, Glen, Vernon, John & James Thompson; sisters, Mrs. Robert, Donna Martindale, Mrs. Forest, Minnie Stevens, Mrs. Dale, Tillie Dunn, and Mrs. Willard, Ruby Parrett all from Ohio.
She is survived by her loving children, Bret Huff (Lori) of Apopka, Florida and Sheri Huff Mitchell of Sugar Hill, Georgia; siblings, Robert Thompson and Edna Cowan of Ohio; grandchildren, Debra Huff Cameron (Jim), Brandon Huff, Caleb Huff, Sarah Huff, Madeline Mitchell, and Megan Mitchell, and great grandchildren, Landon Huff, Kyra Huff, Kaiden Cameron, and Kyleena Cameron.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817 with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
The family will host a reception at the funeral home immediately following the graveside service.
