Elieser Castro

Elieser Castro Sr. was born in Humacao, PR on 11/29/1943 to Juana Dolores Diaz and Juan Castro Rodriguez. Eli was one of 19 children of which only 9 made it past childhood. He grew up having a close relationship with siblings - Felicita Morales, Cecilio Castro, Ana Luz Ramos, Alejandra Flecha, Gladys Castro, Raquel Ortiz, Rebecca Madrigal, & Bilda Ruth Fontanez.

In 1956, he moved from Puerto Rico to Lorain, OH. He graduated from Admiral King High School and proceeded to work at the Ford Motor Company from where he retired after 30+ years of service.

On June 19, 1965, Eli wed Aida Luz Flecha. From that union, they had 3 children which he enjoyed spending time. They are Elieser Jr. and his wife, Betzaida, Idalia Ruth and her husband Ivan Andujar Jr. and Hiram Eli and his wife, Kari, his grandchildren, Ashley Marie Castro and Adrienne Elizabeth and her husband Matthew Mattia, Joshua Andujar and his wife Andrea, Jason Tyler Andujar and his partner Rachel Matson, Enrique Daniel and his wife Alexis and Julian Gabriel Castro, Jackson Eli and Kennedy Lynn Castro and his great grandchildren, Nala Leilani and Scarlett Rose, Sebastian Luis, Callie Shea and Miles Ryan. He later married and spent his final years with Betsy Castro Ortiz.

To list just a few memorable traits to describe Eli, I would say was his joking sense of humor, his hard working ethic, a dedicated family man and a man of faith. He was a craftsman who enjoyed spending time with his family, working in the yard or on his domino tables.

He will be forever missed by his friends and family.

A visitation for Elieser will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00PM all at Iglesia De Dios Pentecostal, Orlando, FL 32817. A graveside service will occur Sunday, June 2, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery 2400 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817.
