Sister Florence was such an amazing person, warm kind hearted loving and caring person. Woman of God , she is truly missed.

Sister Florance was always very kind to my family. Always there to offer a helping hand and a prayer.  For the short time that I knew her she was a very positive influence on us. She was doing such good work back in her home country of Nigeria.  So sorry that God chose to call her home. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Sedenu, it's hard to believe that you're actually gone from us. Through my wife and your husband, we came to know each other over the last several years. What I knew about you is how generous in spirit and practical things you were; your spirituality and being completely in tune with God; and how humble you truly were. Ever before I met you, my wife would talk about how you'd come to the village at your husband's grandfather's home and immerse yourself completely in village life without a care for how different it were from your city life. You were well known for your care about human life and we frequently discussed our worries about the insecurity and lack of respect for human life whether in America or in Nigeria. Your generosity and concern for the less privileged prompted you to set up and run an orphanage 10,000 miles away in Africa. You completely trusted God in whatever endeavor you had in mind or in the works. It's unfortunate that we would not have you around to continue to nurture these very positive attributes of yours. But God your Maker has spoken and for sure has other assignments for you by His side. Rest in peace.


  
My Obhioha! Mama Ehimen,  as l always called you . I still  can't believe you are gone. I will always remember you as a strong woman of faith.  A  great giver; given, and always giving. Just about two months ago we talked about going  to Nigeria together for  medical mission.  In any case, I am sure God has His own plans  for you and decided  He needed you by His side. "Humble Obhioha!" That's how my mom always described you. I will never forget when you visited  us in Ewu the first time, You carried the basin on your head  to the farm with us, then returned  with a bundle of  firewood, just like any other village person.  Never will I ever forget that sight. Your humility and generosity has earned you a place at the blossom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Your lagecy shall  live on in your children, grand children and all their offspring. Rest in peace my dear Obhioha! Rest in peace!!!

Sister Florence, I didn’t know that our conversation on September 2nd, 2021 will be our last conversation my dear beautiful and wonderful sister and friend.
You are such a gentle and caring woman in nature, you are real and a wonderful mother to your three children and all your grandchildren.
Your beautiful spirit will live on through us your friends, your family and especially your children and grandchildren, and they will always know how you loved them.
 You tried all your heart to stay for them, but God called you and you had to go.
 My prayer is that you rest in peace, knowing that you did all you had to do in this life for humanity.
 We love you Sis Florence, and it is so comforting to know that you will always be with us in our hearts.
Sister Florence, we all know that it's time for your departure, you have fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith. Now there is in store for you, the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to you on that day.

My dear inlaw and sister in christ, that is what we called each other. 
 You were very kind and loving. A women of faith , always ready to preach God's gospel  to anyone. You led many people to God.  I witnessed that you loved God   and your grandchildren dearly.  You gave without looking back.  
  I was just about to enjoy our Togetherness when death suddenly took you away from us.
  I miss you a lot. I  love you, but Almighty God loves you best. I know you are in God's  bosom. 
  Rest in perfect peace. You will forever be missed. 

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Florence. Florence's life was devoted to serving the Lord, Jesus Christ. She seized every opportunity to share Him and to show some kindness and generosity. She was unapologetic about her christian views, steadfastness, and the energy she brought to the service of her Lord. She was a symbol of Life on a Mission, with her eyes set on the prize, as she patiently and joyfully walked the 'straight and narrow way'. She will be greatly missed. We take comfort in the outstanding character traits she imparted to our sons, Ehimen, Ehiwele and Ehiarekhian, and in knowing that her soul now dwells in the Joy of her Master.

 I can't still believe you're no longer here mother 😲 what a beautiful soul! a great loss to humanity. I met Ms Florence S. 2010 through her next door neighbor, Since then, she has been an amazing mother to me without no bias. my biological mother got to know her through her kind deeds, When my father went to be with the lord she was there for us, she always promised to be there for me. She was a wonderful person, humble, someone you can trust anyday, anytime, regardless of whom you are. Sweet mother you will be missed greatly. My condolences to family and friends, I pray for fortitude to bear this great loss. Rest on, woman of God.

My sincere condolences to the family.  My heart is heavy at the hearing of Florence’s passing. I came to know Florence through her friendship with my late mom,  they were two powerful Nigerian women of God. I remember Florence’s  presence at our family Thanksgivings and the times we would gather at Brooklyn Tabernacle. I am so blessed to have known her and the love she showed to my family.  I will miss her tremendously. She worships now in the Heavenly Choir.

Sister Florence was a beautiful woman of God; she was a kind and caring sister with a beautiful smile and kind words to encourage others. We met in Brooklyn Tabernacle in the prayer band. I’m saddened by her passing.

Mrs Sedenu was a mother to my family. She was so sweet and would always check up on us and wish us happy new month with prayers. Such a selfless woman who always looked for ways to help others. My husband helped her ship things to Nigeria for the orphanage and she always sent goodies to my little girls whenever she saw him. Always thinking about others. I know for certain she is received as a good and faithful servant by our Lord Jesus Christ. She spent her life in service to God and others and lived a life worth emulating. She will continue to hold a special place in our hearts. Mrs Sedenu will be missed dearly.

I knew Florence way back since 1980  and only with a smile ,we called her mama Ehimen.
We both married into the Sedenu family, she Bayo and I Abiodun.
Our first encounter was "you are now marrying the entre family as well“.
She noticed a wrinkle on my face and she burst out laughing and laughing and laughing.
She taught me the different Benin traditions and attire. The family history. Respecting elders was very important.
She arrested ones attention to being grateful and believing in Christ.
Doing this till the last day.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

My great Auntie, cousin and mother  was a great woman,  she is loved by everyone. She will do  all she can to make everyone feel  alright.  I remember when  I went to lived  with her in Benin city for few years  she taught me many things that is helping me in life today.
Above all she introduced me to Christianity and today by the Grace of God, I am a minister of the gospel of Christ.  All thanks to God and  to her. 

I thank God for the life well lived  and for  her legacy of love. 


I am the daughter of Mr Gerry although I do no have any memories to share about my beautiful auntie. My dad tells me she knew me and I am so blessed to know this.  She had been a great support to my dad and family throughout her life. My dad tells me she was beautiful insides and out. 
Dear auntie we share a name, family and a profession but sadly I didn’t get a chance to meet you again. However, I knew you through your great deeds, and your love for your family. 
May your beautiful and perfect soul rest in peace. 


You couldn’t miss aunt Florence‘s big smile and enthusiastic voice.  She always spoke to you in a way that let you know she genuinely cared about you.  I’m thankful that I got to know her, and appreciate the impact she’s had on me. Rest In Peace, auntie.

I met sister Florence as my daughter’s Kindergarten teacher and because of her love and dedication to children’s development we became sisters and best friends. She invited me to join her church. We were in the prayer band together and shared so many memories and milestones in our lives and the lives of our children. We shared stories of our mutual careers  in nursing and her work with an orphanage in Africa -- a dream she had from the day we met, that thankfully became a reality before she passed. Most importantly, we shared a devotion to Jesus Christ. I know she went to meet with the Lord, as my sister always says of those who passed on. I will miss you, my sister. Rest Well!

Ms. Florence was a dear teacher, a faithful friend, and a beloved sister in Christ. As a child, she was often quick to offer warm stories and words of encouragement with her lessons. As a young woman, I was blessed to experience her faith and her friendship. When I raised money for school events, she was the first to offer a sizable donation (with an apology that she could not give more). When I studied abroad, she was the first to offer fervent prayers and support -- even joining my family at the airport to see me off.

Ms. Florence has touched countless lives over the course of her life, including mine. She leaves behind a powerful legacy of love, generosity, and faith. The Bible tells us that to live is Christ, and to die is gain. She has lived her life for Christ and I know that she is now with him, smiling peacefully as he says well done, good and faithful servant.

Uncle Gerry Imariagbontua, regret the passing away of my cousin, sister, mother and friend. She was more than a cousin, who did a lot for me and my family. I loved her so much for her kindness, love and selflessness. She was an amazing person, who did the best for everything and everyone she loved. She will be missed and remembered forever. As the leader of the Imariagbontua family.

Your death came like a rude shocked to me, but with submission to God Almighty 🙏 it is well! Sister Florence was like Sister to me besides being a sister in Christ. We meant in Brooklyn Tabernacle in the 90s and belongs to the prayer band together. 
  Sister Florence love the Lord with every thing in her, she demonstrates what a real Christian should be. She leaves impact on everyone she came in contact with.  She was very  generous and very accommodating, always open her door to everyone.  
  Hmm, what i am going to be more sad and disappointed with is we never went to Nigeria where she have her orphanage ministry together because she always wanted that. May the work she left behind would not stop,  it is a seed that she planted and it would germinate in the name of Jesus. 
My beloved sister Florence,  I am going to miss your words of encouragement and prayers. I know you are in a better now beholding your Savior.

Sister Florence was a wonderful woman of God who was always shown love, kindness  and compassion to those around her.Sister Florence and I served in Brooklyn Tabernacle Prayer Band for many years faithfully. Florence was truly a woman of prayer, faith and generosity.  We will certainly miss her.  She always had a smile and encouraging word.  May God continue to comfort the family.  To be absent from this world is to be present with the Lord.  She is with the Lord cheering us on to run the race.  We all love you Florence and will see you one day in Heaven.

One thing  I remembered Aunty  Florence(Mummy) for, was  that she always kept on a smiling face. In such, those smiles of  hers were very courageous and whenever I see her face, those smiles of hers  made me happy. 
I  also saw her as a woman with strong faith in the  Lord till the last days.  Farewell aunty . Your memory will  always be remembered.  My condolence goes out to every member of the families again.

Florence was a prayer warrior with me in the prayer band at the  Brooklyn tabernacle for about 5 yrs . She was my friend and every month we sent each Godly quotes of encouragement to stay strong in Christ she will be greatly miss but I know she is with with Jesus .
