

She was born on November 5, 1941, in Sarrebourg, France.
Trudy came to the United States in 1962 and was immensely proud to become an American; her patriotism was reflected in everything she did.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Copenhefer. Trudy is survived by Mark and Abelina Pye; her grandchildren, Megan, Chris, Brian, Jonathan, Nicholas, and Jahayra; and her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Beverly, Everett, Charlotte, Tenley, Bryden, and Emilia.
Trudy built a remarkable career in the food and wine industry that spanned more than 40 years. She served as President, Founder, and CEO of Hawaiian Ice Company, where she was known for her drive, leadership, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Known for her quick wit, warmth, and strength, Trudy brought laughter, generosity, and resilience into the lives of everyone she met. She maintained a wide circle of friendships around the world and remained deeply connected to her friends throughout her life.
She will be forever in our hearts and dearly loved by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, located at 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817, on February 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
An additional funeral service will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery, located at 2400 Harrell Rd, Orlando, FL 32817, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on February 13, 2026.
