

Chris was born in Akron, Ohio but grew up mostly in Tampa, Florida. Chris was married 67 years to his beloved Patricia Murray Hatch who preceded him in death May 26, 2024. Chris is survived by his 5 children James Hatch, Patricia Sandidge (Ray), Sharon Banta (Stan), Mary Peterson (Brian) and Kelly Devore (Lonnie). He was Pop-Pops to 13 grandchildren Taylor Stuart (Blake), Megan Hatch, Jessica Barr (Travis), Raymond Sandidge, Stephanie Hughes (David), Ryan Sandidge, Brittany Lane (Scotty), Emily Banta, Melanie Nissen (John), Falon Cox, Derek Peterson, Jacob Peterson and Trey Devore. He had 14 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way.
Chris was a business owner as a Nationwide Insurance Agent for 35 years. He was very active in his community and at one time was President of Azalea Park Little League (where he also coached), basketball coach and athletic director at Good Shepherd Catholic School where his children attended, Holy Name Society at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Fire Commissioner for Lake Barton Fire Department. He was an avid golfer and long-standing member of Rio Pinar Country Club helping with the Citrus Open when it was hosted there.
His love of people made him a natural salesman and his booming laugh was loved by everyone who knew him. He was always willing to help everyone he met. He was greatly loved by his family and will be terribly missed. Rest in Peace Dad.
The family will host visitation from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817 with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
All are invited to join the family for a reception at the funeral home following the graveside service.
