Luz Medina-Pimentel

Luz was born in Bani, Dominican Republic on June 22, 1954, to parents Faustino Medina and Estela Pimentel. She was raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in a humble home with her siblings Urba, Juana, Tina, Elsa, Pedro, Josefa, Aracelis, Gertrudis and Rosa.

In January 1971 Luz and her family migrated to Manhattan, New York. On February 19, 1972 Luz married Juan E. Pimentel, where they had 4 children Shahaira, Johnni, Estibenson, and Ray. The family moved from Manhattan to the Bronx, then settled in Orlando FL in April of 1998.

Luz had 10 grandchildren Shalimar D. McIntosh, Savannah K. McIntosh, Ramel T. McIntosh, Roman J. McIntosh, Yesenia M. Aponte, Jasmine M. Vassallo, Natalie R. Pimentel, Nicholas J. Pimentel, Yadiel Pimentel, and Isabella Pimentel. Along with three great grandchildren, Sebastian Ospina, Kaylani Vassallo, and Elias Vassallo.

Luz loved to laugh and enjoyed being around those she loved; her humbleness made her shine. You will be greatly missed as a mother, wife, grandmother, and sister and will be in our hearts forever. May you rest peacefully in the arms of the lord.

A visitation for Luz will be held Friday, May 12, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 12, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817. A committal service will occur Friday, May 12, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Chapel Hill Cemetery, 2400 Harrell Road Orlando FL 32817.
