It is with great sadness that the family of Preciosa L. Barrios announces her passing on Monday, June 7, 2021, at the age of 90 years. Preciosa was an amazing Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Sister in law. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Conrad, Eduardo, Leonardo, Edna and Hilario, Jr. Preciosa will also be fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Preciosa was one of five children and the last to pass on.

Preciosa, along with her late-husband Hilario, Sr., were the first of their family to immigrate to America in hopes of a better life for their children. During her time here, Preciosa’s radiant personality brightend the lives of each individual she met. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Education and was an elementary school teacher. A few of her favorite things included: dancing, playing cards with her grandchildren, wearing high heels as well as an appreciation for jewelry; but the most precious jewel that she had was the time she spent with her family.

Our one wish is that our father, Hilario, Sr. and her siblings are there to meet Her in Heaven. Preciosa was the matriarch of our family. She will be forever loved and her memory will live on through each and every one of the lives she has touched.

A viewing in the memory of Preciosa will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Baldwin Fairchild at Chapel Hill, 2420 Harrell Road, Orlando, FL 32817.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Preciosa to Edna Ang or the Barrios Family.

Preciosa Barrios was not just a friend to me. I was her constant companion when we went out to parties and dance events in the many years we were together. So constant that people we knew or we met thought that she was my mother; and she was, my 2nd (Nanay) mother. She and I loved to laugh even when things are not going right. My good friend Dr. Montes' grandfather was visiting from San Francisco. He also loved to dance and he was a good dancer and good looking grandpa, well-dressed. I was escorting him and Nanay to go to different Dances every weekend. One weekend we were at Beardall Community Center for the dance. 3 ladies approached grandpa at the same time to dance with him. Poor grandpa did not know how to get out of that situation. Nanay proudly took grandpa's right arm and told the 3 ladies she was his date and therefore she is dancing with him. The 3 ladies could not do anything but step aside and let her dance like she was the princess of the ball. Going home after the dance we were all laughing about the event. I know the two seniors felt very good for being the center of attractions. I felt good for being able to contribute to that moment when they both shine. God rest both your souls. I will love you forever Nanay. We will dance again in heaven when we meet. Belle
