Roger Allen Syx Sr.

Born in Akron, Ohio, Roger lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and deep love for his family. He retired after a long and dedicated career of 47 years from United Airlines. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout the years.

Roger is remembered best for his unwavering faith and his deep love for our Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation of his life and a guiding light to all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Syx and Ola Mae Odear, and by his brother Randal Syx.

Roger was the beloved husband of Carol Syx (nee Curzan), with whom he shared 56 years of marriage - a life built on devotion, partnership, and enduring love.

He was a devoted father to Roger A Syx II, (Pam), Shannon Brown (Jim), and Kelly Billish (Joe). He was a proud grandfather to Allen Syx (Kara), James Syx, Kaylynn McCarroll (Micah), Justin Brown (Candace), Amanda Billish and Maegan Brown. And a cherished great-grandfather to Nolan Syx, Belle Syx, and Jase Brown, with another great-grandson on the way.

A private service for family is being held.

Roger will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered, as family and friends take comfort in knowing he now rests in the arms of Jesus.
