

Ski was born on March 2, 1949 in Long Island, NY to Bill and Hattie (Sawicki) Choinski. He moved to Bowie, MD in 1967 where he graduated high school and went into the Air Force. After his service in the military he had an apprenticeship at the Government Printing Office where he was a typesetter. In 1975 he married and had one daughter, Julia. They lived in Cape St. Claire, MD until moving to Orlando, FL in 1986. Upon moving to Florida he worked at the University of Central Florida at the print shop until he changed jobs and became the Equipment Manager at Recreational Services. Ski went onto work for Contemporary Services Corporation as an Event Manager in 1997 until he retired in 2011.
Ski was a friend to everyone he met, he couldn’t go anywhere without seeing someone he knew. He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He loved attending wrestling events, renaissance faires, and trap shooting with his friends.
Ski was preceded in death by his father, Bill Sr., his mother, Hattie and sister, Elaine. He is survived by his long time partner Jackie Roe, his daughter and son-in-law, Julia & Leland Allen, and his grandson Harrison Allen. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Ski’s memory to Abby’s Animal Rescue.
