Corrine was born March 23, 1928 in Kansas City, Kansas and was raised in the Strawberry Hill community. She attended the University of St. Mary’s College in Leavenworth, KS and then began her working career with Hallmark Cards as an artist. Corrine married Joseph Sullivan on April 14, 1951. They had eight children and she was a great mother and role model. In her early 60’s, she attended beauty school to become a manicurist. She worked in this profession, serving retirement communities for 20 years. Corrine was a longtime member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and lived her faith. She was a great cook, loved to dance and was always up for a trip to Las Vegas or to the local ‘boats’. She and her dear friend, Frank Dercher, loved to polka dance, go out to eat and travel. Corrine was her cheerful, funny, and grateful self until her very last day. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and all who knew her.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Jeremiah Joseph Sullivan (1980) and son, Gregory Sullivan(1981), her sisters Theresa Blackmer and Maxine Harman and brother, Mark Medved.
She is survived by her brother Thomas Medved and her children Mary (Ed) Schultz, Kathleen (Jim) Baska, Christopher (Sarah) Sullivan, William Sullivan, Barbara Sullivan, Jacqueline (Mike) Keiley, Mark (Rhonda) Sullivan and sixteen beautiful grandchildren.
